Creative Spontaneity:Power of Music (Mere thoughts)

'...so many angels in heaven
with so many gifts;
but only the one with music within
had the power to think
that he could overthrow the king
one- third he convinced.
Don't deceive yourself,
you've been a given a powerful gift'

Creative Spontaneity:The Flower and The Tree (Poem Series 1)

The Flower and The Tree

I know not where I go;
I follow as the wind blows
There I met the tree
With it leaves evergreen.
It blossom it bloomed

It mirrored me.
I think I found my home
But the wind wants me to leave
Blowing soo heavily;

I’m scared but the tree stands firm
Proclaiming you will go far and wide
But you shall surely return.
I am you and you are me
Just waiting for you to turn to your tree
Carved and shaped so perfectly.

See!
I need you to flee
Roam wide, Roam free
There you will understand,
The value,  when you come back to me.

PIECE OF ME - Journey of Realization

Good day beautiful People

Guess what!

 I just released my first ever EP (Extended Playlist) dubbed ‘Piece Of Me’ and the journey when making this, was a very didactic one.

 One key takeaway was the power of staying true to yourself in whatever craft or thing you find yourself doing  because, your passions, your causes, and your interest all serve under what we call purpose; this is what uniquely identifies you and allows you to live on  even when you die.

The second biggest takeaway, was the power of music, realizing this I had the uttermost gratitude for my gift. Isn't it mind-blowing to know, how one can convey their emotions into a song, to other people without having them experience whatever caused the feeling? A good example is South African apartheid music, you would feel what they've felt, that's how they preserved history, by storing these memories in music.

Now, let's go to my motherland Ghana, I was at a Shatta Wale performance standing beside this calm- looking lady. Immediately Shatta Wale started jumping to his song 'Freedom', she started jumping with so much energy, the switch was crazy, the whole crowd was shouting freedom and jumping. Then he starts waving his arm from left to right with so much energy by the time I realized everyone was doing the same thing, he didn't have to ask for them to do that. I was in awe.

Now let's rewind and press play. He, first of all, brought so many people together, people with differences all here to listen to his music. He switched moods and personalities - the sad became happy, the calm and composed became energetic and loud, the happy and energetic became even more happy and energetic. Lastly, what he did, they also did, and what he said, they listened. If this isn't influence then I don't know what is?  To musicians out there reading this, you have a very powerful gift that impacts many lives and it's up to you to use it positively or negatively.
You are more or less leaders, a force to reckon with, assets to your nations and can play very vital roles in advancing and developing the world, your respective countries, and your communities. You are blessed. Never feel underrated in your craft, you have no idea how much the world needs us.

 It took this EP,  my experiences throughout the process, watching other artists perform and listening to different genres, observing people and understanding myself,  to realize the potential of my gift. Before I started working on it, I was determined on sharing who I am with the world through music, but this EP rather revealed to me a ' Piece of myself  ' I had never known.
Just realized I didn't introduce my self in the beginning. Hi, my name is Asi.
